Whether you’re 3 or 99, the library offers language-learning activities for every stage of your journey. Our goal is to provide a welcoming, supportive environment where learners can build confidence and practice their English through conversation. If improving your spoken English is one of your goals for the new school year, you’ve come to the right place!
We’re also proud to offer French language activities for expatriates looking to improve their spoken French in a friendly, supportive environment.
For Adults
Conversation groups for adults in English
Our conversation groups in English are designed for adults who want to improve their listening comprehension and spoken English. Led by native English-speaking volunteers, these groups meet for one hour each week from September to June, except during school holidays. Participants practice speaking English in a friendly and supportive atmosphere!
Cost : 170€ plus membership.
Conversation groups for adults in French
Our conversation groups in French are designed for expatriates settling in France that wish to improve their listening comprehension and spoken French. Led by native French-speaking volunteers, these groups meet for one hour each week from September to June, except during school holidays. Participants practice speaking French in a friendly and supportive atmosphere!
Cost : 90€ plus membership.
English in Action
English in Action is a one-to-one conversation program that pairs an English learner with a fluent English speaker. Designed for adults aged 18 and over, the program offers six hours of personalised conversation practice to help participants build confidence and improve their spoken English in a relaxed and supportive environment.
Cost : €100 for the 6-hour program plus membership.
French in Action
French in Action is a one-to-one conversation program that pairs an French learner with a fluent French speaker. Designed for adults aged 18 and over, the program offers six hours of personalised conversation practice to help participants build confidence and improve their spoken French in a relaxed and supportive environment.

For Children and Teens
Children’s Hour
Children’s hour is an activity designed for children aged 3 to 10 years old. During forty-five-minute sessions, children practice English in a fun and engaging way through stories, games and songs. Children’s hour meets once per week on Wednesdays from September to June, except during school holiday periods.
Cost : 170€ plus membership.
Speak Up! Collegiens
Speak up is an activity for middle school students (collégiens) aged 11 to 14 to practice speaking English in a fun environment through games and interactive activities. This group meets for forty-five-minute sessions once per week on Tuesdays from September to June, except during school holidays. Cost : 170€ plus membership.
English Camp Collegiens
English Camp is a three-day workshop during the school holidays for middle school students (collegiens) aged 11 to 14 years old. Each workshop has a specific theme and students work together on games and interactive activities in English. English Camp takes place from 2 to 5 p.m. over 3 days.
Cost : 75€ for one workshop (9 hours of activities).
